BlueSkys are delighted to welcome Julian Church to the Sales Management team - August 2009

Julian has a tremendous amount of office products industry experience having worked in the software and back-office systems sector since 2001 in development, implementation and sales roles.

Dealers Inspired By New Developments At BlueSky Conference & User Day - March 2009

On Thursday, 26th March, BlueSky Systems Solutions held their first combined conference and user day. The event filled the Mickleover Court Hotel & Conference Centre near Derby, to capacity. Over 50 dealers attended the event that was also supported by Spicers, Vow Europe, Sales-i and Trodat; who showcased their products and services.

The conference started with a presentation from BlueSky’s Commercial Director, Derek Blood who opened the event with a warm welcome and thanks to their dealer customers and supporting exhibitors. Blood outlined the rapid growth of BlueSky from installing 4 systems in their first year to 48 during 2008. He went on to highlight new developments to the Horizon system, available now or being launched in the next few weeks, which were then covered in detail in workshops throughout the rest of the day. He also reassured dealers that BlueSky is not for sale and reinforced this point by explaining that the business’ share ownership agreement in which shares held by members of the BlueSky team can only be sold to existing BlueSky shareholders.

Each workshop room was set out boardroom style to encourage interaction, participation and provide maximum benefit to the dealers.

Horizon Makes COS Group Better - February 2009

South Wales based COS Group has successfully switched their back office system to Horizon from BlueSky System Solutions. With an annual turnover of £6m COS Group is one of the largest independent dealers in Wales, they employ over 50 people and are one of the largest employers in Barry.

David Emery, Managing Director said “We are already seeing Horizon helping our business grow. For example, our sales team is using it to create and distribute quotes much more quickly which has made us much more efficient at generating and following up sales enquiries. From a management point of view we are in much better control over what’s happening day-to-day on margin and sales which is especially important in today’s uncertain economic times.”
